Privacy Policy

Your security and privacy are important. Music for Makers maintains the following standards to help protect your personal information as you use this website. Please read this Privacy Policy in its entirety to understand how we will collect and handle the privacy of your personal information.

1. Definitions

To ensure we start things off on the same page, here are a few terms we’ll be using.

Whenever we say “we,” “us,” “our,” and “Music for Makers,” we’re referring to Polymath Digital, LLC, d/b/a Music for Makers, a state of Oregon limited liability company. Our “Services” include providing royalty-free music tracks to you. And by “you,” we mean a visitor of https://musicformakers.com (“Site”).

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) covers how we collect and use any information that might be used to personally identify you (“Personal Information”).

2. Overview

This Policy applies to any person or entity that directly or indirectly uses or accesses the Site, Services, or any other properties owned by Polymath Digital, LLC.

You must be 18 or older to use the Site and Services. If you’re not, you should’t submit any Personal Information to Music for Makers or use the Site. This Policy is effective with respect to any data that we have collected, or collect, about and/or from you, according to our Terms of Use.

By using the Site (for example, when you access the Site or utilize the Services), you consent to our collection, use, and sharing of your personal information as described in the Policy. We may use and disclose the information that you provide through the Site only for purposes permitted or required by law, for purposes described in this Policy, or for purposes that you might authorize.

If you do not wish for us to use or disclose your Personal Information as described in this Policy, please do not use the Site.

3. Information We Collect

a) Information you voluntarily provide. When you sign up for and use the Services, submit a contact form message, or communicate with us in any way, you voluntarily give us information. This may include your name and email address.

b) Information automatically collected. When you use the Site, we may collect details about you and your visit, such as your IP address, browser settings, operating system, language preferences, and on-site behavior. Any of such data is anonymized and cannot be tracked back to you.

d) Information collected by cookies. We may use cookies to track your usage of the Site in order to improve your experience. You can learn more about our Cookie Policy in the next section.

4. Cookie Policy

We may collect information about you through the use of both session and persistent “cookies” — small files that are transferred from your browser to your computer’s hard drive. Cookies allow us to know certain things about your visit to the Site and personalize your experience.

a) The purpose of cookies. Cookies and similar technologies exist to improve your experience on the Site by making it easier for you to navigate through the Site, save your preferences, and make Site features work better. For example, we use Fullstory, which sets cookies, to identify and fix bugs. Because of this, our cookies are considered “essential” to the functionality of the Site.

b) What cookies track. Cookies may collect information regarding your browser, type of computer, operating system, Internet service provider, and other similar information. Cookie technology may also gather information about the areas you visit on our Site and about the links you may select from within our Site to other areas of the Internet. We do not extract Personal Information during this process.

c) How to change cookie settings. Most browsers allow you to erase cookies from your computer hard drive, block all cookies, or receive a warning before a cookie is stored. Please refer to your browser instructions to learn more about these functions. But keep in mind that if you reject cookies, functionality of the Site may be limited, and you may not be able to take advantage of many of the Site’s features.

5. How We Use Your Information

By using the Site and providing us with your Personal Information, you consent to our use of such information as described in this Policy. You may always refuse to provide your Personal Information. But this may lead to our inability to provide you with Services offered under the Site.

Other than for the specific purposes listed below, we will not disclose your Personal Information unless we obtain your prior consent. And we will never rent or sell your Personal Information.

a) Processing payments. Music for Makers doesn’t directly process transactions completed on the Site. Instead, we rely on Stripe to provide this service. 7. How We Store and Protect Your Information

Music for Makers follows standard policies and procedures to protect the privacy and confidentiality of your Personal Information that we collect and maintain. For example, we use encryption — such as transport layer security (“TLS”) and secure socket layer (“SSL”) technology — coupled with two-step authentication and other safeguards to protect your data.

However, due to the design of the Internet and other factors outside our control, we cannot guarantee that communications between you and our servers will be free from unauthorized access by third parties or by government agencies. You remain responsible for the security of information in transit to us over the Internet.

Any unauthorized use of the Site may result in criminal and/or civil prosecution. In the event of a security breach, we will notify you by email using the address you submit to us, if any.
